Continuing Education

Landscape architects registered in Oregon are required to maintain, improve or expand their professional knowledge and skills through continuing education. Attending classes, participating in workshops and events, and attending lectures on topics relevant to the practice of landscape architecture may meet the requirements outlined in the Oregon Administrative Rules administered by the Oregon State Landscape Architect Board (OSLAB).

For Landscape Architects

Local Events

Check the Events listings for opportunities throughout the state offering a range of continuing education activities. Programs and events offered by ASLA or other organizations may qualify for Professional Development Hours (PDH) credits. Please note that Oregon ASLA assumes no responsibility for approval unless otherwise noted; final authority for approval of PDH credits rests with OSLAB.

Landscape Architecture Continuing Education System (LA CES)

ASLA’s Landscape Architecture Continuing Education System (LA CES) provides listings of professional development and continuing education programs for landscape architects. Programs offered by LA CES certified providers are recognized by OSLAB for PDH credits.

ASLA also offers Online Learning programs and the Landscape Architecture Technical Information Series (LATIS) which qualify for PDH credit.

Track Your PDH Credits

Landscape Architects are responsible for tracking their PDH hours. As a resource, please download the PDH Documentation Log for Oregon Licensed Landscape Architects to aid in tracking and verification – so you are prepared if that audit comes!

For Providers

As a benefit for our members, Oregon ASLA evaluates events to determine eligibility for PDH credits. Contact for more information.
