Get Involved

ASLA Oregon has a growing list of committees and other networking opportunities for our members. Below is a list of committees, along with contact information, that you may wish to join.  Check back regularly as committees often arise to tackle specific issues.

The EP group promotes outreach, recognition, and professional development within our membership, thereby empowering our Students and Emerging Professionals to lead enriched, productive professional lives. These are generally ASLA members in the first five years of their career, however you will often see seasoned veterans at these fun events. Events include plant nursery tours, design charrettes for local non-profits and interdisciplinary trivia nights. Contact the current Emerging Professionals Chair for more information and to join our mailing list.

Meets to determine criteria and review professional development activities for licensed landscape architects in the State of Oregon.  Are you interested in finding with other members who are studying for the LARE licensing exam? Get in touch with the current Education Chair to find out more about upcoming study sessions in your area. They would also be a good resource for connecting you with other members who may be interested in forming a study group.

We are always looking for more hands to share the work of putting on our two biggest annual events. Tasks range from graphic design help for printed pieces, organizing catering or simply staffing the registration table. Often we can extend discounted attendance rates to our volunteers. Contact the VP of Chapter Services to learn more.

Every year we carefully evaluate exceptional landscape architects from our community to make recommendations to ASLA National for their fellows appointments. Please reach out to the current VP of Member Services to learn more.
