Leading up to the ASLA Oregon 2019 Design Symposium, ASLA Oregon is pleased to present two Irrigation Design courses; Basic Irrigation Design, and Beyond Basic: Irrigation Design for Water Conservation. In an industry leading the charge for sustainable design through rating systems such as LEED, and SITES, this course will give you the knowledge needed to achieve water-conserving credits. Attendees may attend one or both events. The courses are LACES approved to earn professional development credits!!! See course descriptions below;
Day 2: Beyond Basic: Irrigation Design for Water Conservation
In the “beyond basic” course you’ll be provided a hydraulic refresher including pipe sizing, system capacity, and point of connection best practices. From there, instructors will lead a design segment covering water delivery device selection, system zoning, water conservation products, best applications, flow requirements, scheduling and much more! This course is perfect for professionals who have some irrigation background, looking to enhance their own skills in water conserving and efficient system design. Participants will receive training manuals and literature from the Irrigation Association as part of the course.
