Connections are everywhere: between each other, to our communities, and to nature. What work is being done to foster, form and sustain these? We will nurture our networks and community connections to build a more interconnected future.
Come to Intertwine Summit 2023 for grounding and reflection, perspective-taking and conversations. We’ll dig into how policy drives (dis)connections, and what we all can do to nurture more people’s connections to nature.
We're so excited to be back in person, for the first time since 2019! Here's what we've got planned:
Mini keynote by Charissa V. Jones, cultural and community connector & outdoor and environmental educator; lightning talks & two panel discussions
Co-emcees Will Cortez of Metro Parks & Nature and BikePOC and Sarah Williams Brown of the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service Urban Refuge Program
Catered lunch with social time
Table talks in small groups, to dig deeper into the topics and themes of the day
Optional community forest walk or forest bathing activity hosted by Hoyt Arboretum at 9:30 a.m. Accessible for all abilities.
Optional convening of water stewards and advocates the day before, on Tue, May 2
