UO Lecture: "Life Lessons from the Garden"

Join us for a fun gathering as we welcome horticulturist, floral designer and children’s book author, Riz Reyes, for a presentation about pursuing a career driven by a passion for plants, flowers and a love of nature. 

Follow along his personal timeline and learn about how gardening, working with plants and the people that grow them, teaches insightful life lessons. Riz will discuss his own experience navigating the challenges of maintaining/abandoning cultural traditions, societal norms and unrelenting expectations of oneself.

This is a public event for students considering a career in fields related to design and  horticulture, guests who may be interested in plants, flowers, and those considering a career in related fields are encouraged. 

Talk/Roundtable will be in Room LA 177, Friday, April 18th, from 5:00 -6:00 P.M. Reception in Room LA 206 from 6-7 P.M.
