Landscape Architects all over the world are finding that utilizing lightweight, strong and rust proof aluminum powder coated planters is a great alternative to pour in place concrete and wooden planters. Shaun D’Souza with C3 Planters will be able to share with you how these types of planters are fabricated, the different types of internal reinforcements that are utilized during fabrication, and other insights into metal fabrication and powder coating that can practically be applied to landscaping projects. He will also discuss installation details, customization, fabrication materials & sustainability to demonstrate how C3 can create effective, long lasting and cost effective planter solutions for your landscaping projects.
Shaun has a background in Electrical Engineering, but his passion for helping people and landscaping took him down a different path. Having been in the custom metal planter design and fabrication business for 8 years, Shaun now proudly shares the C3 story throughout Canada and the United States. He focuses his efforts sharing this information with Landscape Architects and Designers to help them with their projects.”
The lighting industry has seen some of the greatest changes in energy industry since the 1970’s. Since inception of EPA Energy Star standards and the Obama Administrations use of LEDs in marketplace, the lighting industry has seen radical changes that have an effect in commercial and consumer environments.
Steve Atkins with Bover Barcelona Lights and LedsC4 will be able to share how using LED lighting, durable steel, powder coated painting, polycarbonate and HDPE are well suited for the exterior and landscape markets. Using durable materials, in combination with machine generated and handmade construction, these Spanish companies create quality products that will survive through sand and dust, salt spray and as well intense sunlit environments. Steve will discuss the options and utilization of fixtures for floor, table, wall, bollard, and other applications.
Steve is a Regional Sales Manager for the Western U.S. and Canada. He brings with him an education in technical arts production, visual merchandising, and horticulture / landscape design build. Combining his project management, design and A&D knowledge in outdoor textiles, outdoor tile, and lighting round out a balanced knowledge of industry needs.
