Juncus Studio, a dedicated landscape architecture firm, is excited to welcome an experienced and talented Landscape Architect / Designer to our expanding team. This role involves collaborating with a diverse group of professionals to design outstanding public spaces, green schoolyards, parks, trails, and habitat restoration projects across the Pacific Northwest.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program.
- 3 to 8 years of professional experience in landscape architecture or a related field.
- Proficiency in design software including AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino, SketchUp, Lumion, and other 3D modeling or rendering software.
- Interest in climate resilience, green schoolyard design and sustainable design practices.
- Excellent graphic, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks or projects simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of horticulture, plant materials, and local environmental conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and assist in the design and development of landscape architecture projects, including parks, public spaces, and commercial developments.
- Prepare conceptual designs, detailed construction documents, planting plans, grading plans, and illustrative renderings.
- Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, urban designers, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive project delivery.
- Conduct site analysis, environmental assessments, and feasibility studies to inform design decisions.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and within scope.
- Participate in public meetings, stakeholder engagement sessions, and client presentations to communicate design intent and gather feedback.
- Ensure compliance with local codes, zoning regulations, and environmental requirements.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to team development and office culture.
