Position: Landscape Designer / Landscape Architect
Position Description: Landscape Designer/Landscape Architect - Full Time, Hourly
Consider joining our design studio in Ashland! Just minutes to the mountains, within a lovely community, and a great variety of work on the horizon, Scharen Design Studio is looking to add a landscape designer/ landscape architect to the team.
Our studio values work that honors place, personality, and connects people to their environment. Our projects are diverse in scale, ranging from residential to public, and typically include working on integrated teams with a variety of allied professionals. As a small but growing firm, you will be involved in all stages of design work and will be a critical component in the studio’s collaborative environment.
Duties
Assist in design and planning for parks, schools, public spaces, and private residences.
Prepare site analysis plans and conduct project research.
Develop schematic and conceptual designs, illustrative renderings, design development plans, and construction documents.
Assist with client meetings, public workshops, and fieldwork.
Some travel (local) will be required, as well as occasional evening meetings.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited program in Landscape Architecture
3-5 years professional experience in a landscape architectural office/design firm
Passion for design and the environment
Critical thinking, sensitivity, and curiosity
Strong written, verbal, graphic communication, and time management skills
Ability to work within a team as well as independently
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, and 3D modeling or rendering software
Compensation
Compensation is $28 to $34 per hour, dependent upon experience and licensure status.
