We had the wonderful opportunity to introduce high school students to the exciting world of landscape architecture at the NW Youth Career Expo. The enthusiasm and curiosity the students brought to the event were truly inspiring, and we were thrilled to engage with them about the diverse opportunities this field offers. From large-scale urban planning to intricate design work, the students' questions and ideas reflected their unique perspectives and ambitions.
A huge thank you to Oregon ASLA President Laura Hartzell and past president Lauren Schmitt for their invaluable support. Their successful careers in the industry have been a true inspiration, and their dedication in volunteering at the booth helped make this experience even more impactful.
It was a rewarding experience for everyone involved, and we’re grateful to have had the opportunity to inspire the next generation of landscape architects. The event was a great success, and we look forward to continuing to engage with young minds about the exciting career possibilities in our field!"
