The ASLA Oregon Executive Committee and Fellows Nominating Committee welcomes members to identify potential nominees for the ASLA Council of Fellows.
Fellowship is among the highest honors the ASLA bestows on members and recognizes the contributions of these individuals to their profession and society at large based on their works, leadership and management, knowledge, and service. The designation of Fellow is conferred on individuals in recognition of exceptional accomplishments over a sustained period of time.
Individuals considered for this distinction must be full members of ASLA in good standing for at least ten years. Fellows are recognized in one of four categories:
Works: Recognizes mastery of design in significant works which have advanced the art, stewardship, and social responsibility of landscape architecture.
Leadership/Management: Recognizes exemplary leadership, administration, and management of people, projects, policies, and/or programs that have significantly advanced the practice of landscape architecture, and/or the public recognition of issues regarding the design, planning, or management of the land.
Knowledge: Recognizes the creation of significant new knowledge that advances the profession of landscape architecture or the communication of knowledge to others with exceptional effect.
Service: Recognizes service activities sustained over an extended period of time that have significantly advanced the profession and promoted landscape architecture in the eyes of the public, and that serve as examples for other local, regional, national, or international efforts.
We welcome your input. Please submit names of potential nominees to Jean Senechal Biggs at trustee@aslaoregon.org no later than Friday, September 3, 2021 to be considered.
